Review: The Accidental Assassin

The Accidental Assassin
The Accidental Assassin by Nichole Chase
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Picked this up on a whim based on the synopsis, and boy was I glad I did! Heroine Ava found herself caught int he midst of an execution-gone-wrong and was forced to go on the run with a trained assassin, who might be exactly what she needs … a little excitement.

A fun fast-pace romp that follows Ava and Owen across Europe, alternating between their points of view, this romantic suspense thriller has just the right combination of action, drama, humor, and hot romance to keep me hooked on the chase.

An atypical damsel in distress, Ava’s sassy personality is so endearing from the get-go, and a perfect foil to cool, charming Owen who had to act with the intelligence and precision of an experienced hitman to keep both of them safe.

The sparks and sizzling chemistry, coupled with the teasing banter between the loverbirds and a heavy dose of some real comic situations had me laughing out loud. While a couple of heart-melting, tender scenes were made for movie action romance spot on.

Overall, a highly enjoyable and thrilling escape.
